Executive Committee for the CBC 2007/08

Dear Members,



We are pleased to advise that Mr. Ahmed Shehada has been elected as the Chairman for the CBC for 2007/08. Mr. Marwan Awad will serve as vice-chair.



A member of the recently elected Executive Committee Jamila El-Assaad has decided to step down. As per section 5 of the Constitution, two options were available – continue with 7 members on the EC or co-opt onto the EC another member of the Council. The nominated member with the next highest amount of votes was Jamil Janjua and therefore he has been offered a position on the Committee, to which we are pleased to advise he has accepted.



The remaining six members of the Executive Committee have taken the following portfolios:



Dar Danesh – Community Relations Director

Michael Francis – PR & Link Director

Montaha Hidefi – Events Director

Jamil Janjua – Website Director

Denis Lefrancois – Finance Director

Marc-Antoine Zora – Membership Director



In addition, effective tomorrow, Cindie-Eve Bourassa Braun will assume the duties of Executive Director of the CBC
